PapillomaThere is a benign neoplasm caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV) that occurs in different parts of the body: the neck, under the arms, the bladder, the genitals, the ligaments, the eyelids, the mouth and the nasal mucosa.
Causes of the event
HPV is a natural cause of unpleasant growths and warts. This virus is very common - it affects about 60% of the population.
The virus spreads in the following ways:
- Sexual. . . Genital warts appear on the body during sexual intercourse.
- During childbirth. . . When infected during childbirth, papillomas and warts usually appear several months after birth.
- Home. . . The infection occurs in homes, public places and transport.

However, despite the active spread, in 90% of cases the body can cope with HPV on its own.
Why are papillomas dangerous?
Small papillomas that appear on the human body do not always attract attention, but even they can be dangerous.
So, papillomas can lead to the development of terrible diseases:

- Cervical cancer (cervical cancer);
- Cervical dysplasia;
- Oral cancer;
- Throat cancer;
- Shortness of breath and signs of asthma (especially in children);

HPV diagnosis includes at least 7 procedures:

- Digene tests(screening test). This procedure allows you to quickly detect elevated virus levels. This test is very accurate.
- PCR writing. . . This procedure makes it possible to identify individual types of virus. However, the method has a drawback: 20% of PCR injections give false results (because the infection is temporary).
- PCR(orpolymerase chain reaction). It allows to identify not only HPV, but also other sexually transmitted diseases.
Treatment
HPV requires a careful and careful approach, and the patient must undergo the necessary tests before deciding on treatment (disposal). Sometimes the patient may not need medical intervention - the papilloma may disappear over time.
Traditional treatment
It is important to understand that it is not possible to completely eradicate HPV. All that can be done is to eliminate the manifestations of the disease (in the form of papillomas, warts and other growths). These are the ones that cause cancer and precancerous conditions (not HPV). It happens that HPV lives in the body for up to 30 years, does not manifest on the skin.

At the end of the operation, a suture is placed to connect the tissue. The skin heals in 3-4 weeks, but a scar / scar may remain.
- Electrocoagulation. . . Includes electric shock at the scene of an injury. It is necessary to "cauterize" the base of the affected area. The main advantage of this procedure is the precise sealing of the containers, practically without blood. The skin regenerates within 7-10 days with minimal risk of scarring.
- Laser removal (coagulation). . . Provides focused laser beam exposure. The procedure is performed without anesthesia and takes only a few minutes, leaving coarse crusts (they fall off quickly and leave no traces).
Laser coagulation has a minimal risk of scarring and allows you to quickly prevent warts or warts from accumulating. The only disadvantage of the operation is the high cost.
- Cryodestruction (nitrogen combustion). . . To perform the procedure, you will need a drop of liquid nitrogen, which, upon entering the wart, will immediately destroy its structure. Allows to get rid of accumulation in 7-10 days.
Nitrogen cauterization is considered an effective and affordable method, however, if the area is large, several sessions may be required. This technique is actively used in private and public clinics, aesthetics and health centers. The only downside is the risk of relapse if the specialist does not burn the growth completely.
- Radiosurgery. . . This is done using special equipment. The method appeared relatively recently, it allows you to quickly and painlessly remove all growths. But so far, radiosurgery is unavailable due to high costs.
- Chemical destruction. . . "Strong" chemicals are used in the process. substances and acids. These compounds are used for warts, papillomas or warts without special equipment. This is a cheap method, but it is relatively effective.

This composition has a destructive effect on the papilloma for some time, then it is removed with tape. To reduce pain, the strips are usually moistened with warm water before tearing.
- Freezing- This is one of the most common papilloma removal procedures. The use of antifreeze is usually intended to remove neoplasms located in an intimate area or elsewhere, and such treatment is possible without anesthesia. You can buy a special drug yourself at the pharmacy, and the procedure requires strict adherence to the instructions. There will be no traces of papillomas after a week of treatment.
- Pharmaceutical preparation with phenol, for the treatment of warts and papillomas. It is very effective - the skin neoplasms will be removed only after one use, but the procedure is accompanied by pain, because a wound remains in place of the papilloma, which takes time to heal.
- Gel with celandine extract, the effectiveness of which is approved by the Ministry of Health. Differs if there is no pain during destruction.
There are various situations associated with the emergence of growths that require the destruction of neoplasms. Depending on the location of the papilloma, the urgency of its removal, and whether this is the first appearance of HPV, it is possible to use different methods to treat papillomas.
The need to consult a specialist is also related to the fact that when papillomas appear, independent use of the drug carries the risk of developing skin papillomatous defects, as a result of which growths appear anywhere in the body. In this case, their treatment will take longer.
Folk remedies
Any self-treatment at home is often accompanied by the use of folk remedies. Together with other therapies, it is possible to use traditional medicine after consulting a doctor. They are especially useful during pregnancy and immunosuppression.

Of vegetable origin
You can use herbal infusions every day to prevent further papillomas(lemon balm, nettle, herb, horseradish, dill, St. John 's wort and others) or juice obtained from red potato tubers.
Of the herbal remedies used to remove neoplasms, it is worth highlighting celandine. It is allowed to use its infusion of juice, leaves or pharmacy. Its regular use dries the papillomas, then they simply fall off.

- HPV treatment with eggsThis is one of the most effective and well-known ways to eliminate the papilloma virus. It consists of the papillomas that have just appeared on the body being smeared with egg white, and each subsequent coat is applied only after the previous one has dried. After a few days, after the protein is very dry, the papillomas just won't stay. This is a fairly effective and simple treatment for body neoplasms.
- Alcohol tincture- You need to mix 0, 1 liter of alcohol, 2 grams of boric acid, 2, 5 grams of iodine and the same amount of acetylsalicylic acid. It is forbidden to lubricate papillomas with localization on the eyelids or mucous membranes with this mixture. You can use ammonia or make vinegar and flour balls instead of this recipe (there are the same restrictions on using this tool).
- castor oilIt is a painless treatment for skin lesions. The effectiveness of the oil is due to the presence of acid in its composition, which destroys neoplasms.
- Kerosene and green walnut ointment- is used to treat papilloma virus in the form of warts, including the genitals. For this purpose it is necessary to grind new nuts, then they are filled with kerosene in a ratio of 2 to 1. After infusion of the mixture for 3 weeks in a dark place it can be used for papilloma lubrication. This is a fairly effective way to prevent any new growths.
- Apple vinegar. . . You need to drip apple cider vinegar on a clean towel or cotton swab, and then moisten the papilloma three times a day. After a few days, the growth will change color. The course lasts for several weeks, after which the neoplasm will disappear. To make this procedure safer, it is recommended to dilute the vinegar with a little water before treating the affected area.
Even proponents of conservative treatment acknowledge the use of drug-free drugs that completely rule out self-medication. In fact, it is a rather controversial question whether it is possible to get rid of HPV using only traditional medicines.
Both non-traditional and drug treatments can be successful, but only in the right combination and on the advice of a specialist.
